Important information for British nationals visiting the USA
British passport holders who want to enter the USA by air or sea under the US Visa Waiver Program after 12 January 2009 must register with the US Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) prior to travelling. For information about ESTA see FCO Travel Advice for the USA.
